Concessionary Travel is provided with National Express and is a great perk of the job with a range of benefits, offering our drivers free travel during leisure time and a great way to extend free travel to a single, nominated friend or family member. Drivers can also help promote the network in other ways by offering 50% discount codes to friends and family, helping to showcase our excellent service and multiple journey options.

Guaranteed Hours

Providing stability and security, we are an accredited living wage and living hours employer.  All our full-time contracts are guaranteed to pay 40 hours per week. We understand how important a consistent and reliable wage is, so we endeavour to ensure that there ae no surprises on pay day.

Our range of schemes run from comprehensive CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) for our drivers to bite-sized sessions for ongoing development for those who require a little extra support. At Selwyns, we take our staff’s wellbeing and mental health very seriously. We provide free access to a 24/7 helpline to help with personal and professional problems that could be affecting someone’s work or home life. Partners and dependants are also given access to the helpline.

We all like to drive new vehicles and believe it is an important aspect of being proud to work for any transport business. We have taken delivery of 28 new vehicles, bringing the average age of our fleet to less than 4 years.

Optical Care Vouchers

To fulfil our duty of care as an employer and safeguard the vision and health of all of our employees, the company provides optical care vouchers to employees every 2 years via Specsavers. The £40.00 voucher includes a free eye test and up to £50 towards selected glasses or a £50.00  contribution to a higher price range.
