Our Timeline

From humble family beginnings to catering to every transport need today, here’s how Selwyns Travel has grown over the years.
  • 1968

    The late Robert Alun Jones, father of Managing Director, Selwyn Jones, founds Selwyns Travel.

  • 1979

    Selwyns acquires Yates Tours, one of the largest coach operators in the region.

  • 1984

    Our base at Manchester Airport opens.

  • 1994

    Selwyns Travel acquires another leading airport operator, Starline Travel.

  • 1996

    Hardings Tours of Liverpool is added to our acquisitions.

  • 2011

    Haytons of Manchester are added to the Selwyns family.

  • 2013

    Selwyns Tours Ltd is sold to RAPT Dev

  • 2020

    RATP sells and returns control of STL to Selwyn Jones via Selwyns Coaches Ltd (parent co.)

  • 2025

    Parent Co name change to ‘Selwyns Travel Group Ltd’

  • 2026

    Selwyns Travel Group Ltd acquires Eavesway Travel Ltd
